Every year we take the teen girls on a retreat to the beach. We had the best time! Our theme was "Broken & Beautiful" and I commend the ladies who planned it for a wonderful job well done! Thank you Amy & Lisa for putting so much for the time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears that went into making this weekend so powerful. God shone through the two of you and I am blessed to be able to have women like you in my life.

i counted 26 and you weren't in the picture so that makes 27 girls at the retreat! that's a great turnout. sounds like a great weekend at the beach. the ocean is such a beautiful place to meditate and reflect on what's important.bet the girls look forward to that each year.

There was just 26 of us including me... ha.. I am in there on the far right side. I had set the timer and then ran to get into the picture. Do you know how hard it is to run in the sand??? Not fun.

ha..that's funny that i didn't see you in there. i had to click on the photo and make it bigger so i could tell that was really you and yes, i see you now. you did a good job setting the camera and everyone had a great smile probably because of watching you trying to run in that sand in time. you did it though and came out with a great photo.
thanks again for bella's outfit you sent her for her birthday. it's so adorable.
love,
carla

Dear Sara,
The angels are dancing with the joy and love you all brought to the leadership and fellowship of the teen girls. I can feel it every time I see a picture of the girls and the ladies that went.
I think it is wonderful for so many to come together to support each other.
Each generation learns from the past and grows...empowering our young women. Of course, "it takes a village to raise a child" and many of these young women have had role models since they were babies. I am so glad you are one of them. Spiritual education for our youth is one of your greatest talents.
I will be over soon with the dish towels to get embroidered for Mrs. Jean for her birthday and mother's day. I have potato salad and a lean cuisine for your lunch. Do you want apple crisp too? It is very rich. Not sure it will be good to eat a lean cuisine and then add sugar to the meal like that. Love, MOM
