I need a plan.

Seriously.  I am so easily distracted and even when I devote a whole day to my studio, I find myself lost with where to begin and what to actually DO.  I waste so much time thinking of what I need to do, I don't accomplish very much at all.  Then there's the internet.  Email, blogging, wholesale shopping, etc, etc. I decided today I need to make a plan, and not just in my head, but a well thought out, written plan. 

So no cute pictures today or any long note for today.  I'm getting m pen/paper and doing some much needed planning.  Wish me luck.

Day One- Biggest Loser

So my husband says to me, I going to take a 30-day challenge and lose some weight. I was like, ok, great.  Then our minister decided he would take the challenge along with him and make it like "The Biggest Loser" on tv.  I thought, you know, I would love to beat both of them, so I joined.  We now have, hang on let me count... 7 people in on the game and I believe it's been changed to a 60-day challenge.  I mean business people. Today was a good day and I'm optomistic for the coming days.  I actually drank all my water on the first day!!  This is huge for me since I absolutely HATE water.  We still haven't decided on a prize yet but hopefully it will be worthwhile. 

Still not back in the groove of things since Cooper's Closet.  I did clean up my studio and put most everything away today but it's still kind of chaotic in here.  I'd like to be productive tomorrow, especially since I will need something to take my mind off food.  Have I ever mentioned how much I like to eat?  Well, I do. 

Maddie had a birthday at the beginning of this month and I never posted about it so I'll do that now.  Mom let us break into her house (very brave woman let me add) to have a pool party for 11 little girls.  I made a cake to look like a pool/ocean/water? with ocean animals on it.  It turned out pretty cute, and it tasted pretty good too.  Gotta move on because now I'm thinking about cake... The best part was that all my family (all 3 sisters) were able to come up and celebrate with us. 

   

Cooper's Closet - Fall Sale

I've fallen behind in my blogging duties.  Honestly I haven't had any motivation lately to spend any time in blog land other than catching up with MY favorite blogs.  I've never been a good writer and more often than not don't have anything spectacular to share. 

I have stayed pretty busy though getting ready for Cooper's Closet (a bi-annual children's consignment event that allows a few vendors with hand-made crafts to set up shop).  I've done it for a few years now but this time I reserved two tables instead of one and although I worried about not having enough product to fill two tables, I ended up having more than enough!  I also monogrammed onsite and that was an experience!  I never got bored, that's for sure.  My machine never stopped the entire 4 days, it was insane.  Thank you to all of you who came out! 

I had such a good time this year.  Even if I hadn't sold a thing, it would have been fun because of the two ladies that occupied the tables around me.  We got along so well and just laughed and laughed the whole time.  Jean makes the CUTEST bows and bow holders and Stephanie creates some beautiful monogrammed jewelry. 

 

I had to take pictures after the sale closed on the second day.  I forgot the first day when our tables looked full!  Poor Jean couldn't keep hers filled and her fingers had to be so sore from making as many bows on the spot as she did. 

We all did very well at the sale and I hope we will all return in the Spring.  I know I plan to come back.  I'm also hoping to have a Winter Bizarre in my home possibly in October.  I've asked Jean and Stephanie to bring their goodies to so that all our friends can do some Christmas shopping while enjoying each other's company and just hanging out.  I may ask a few other crafty friends to join us as well.....

I am taking the week off since last week took all my energy out of me.  And I'm enjoying every minute of it :)  Please remember to keep all those affected by Ike in your prayers.  Marie, I'm praying for you and your family if you read this!
